A Winner! July 9, 2008 I bought the Tale of the Mighty Knights after seeing the episode with my daughter on TV. For those of you who like to see all five Backyardigans characters in episodes, this is the DVD to buy! The Mighty Knights episode has some pretty catchy rock music, but the Blazing Paddles episode's music is still stuck in my head (and it's a good thing). The last episode, Garbage Trek, will tickle the funny bone of anyone who's seen or will admit to having watched Star Trek for the clever similarities. A winner with all 3 episodes with characters, stories, and music.
Awesome! June 10, 2008 This is a great episode and the DVD includes Garbage Trek, and Blazing Saddles. My son loves them all. My only knock on the DVD is that it doesn't have chapters, and you can't skip straight to the menu, instead being forced to skip through all the nickjr ads which can be a bit time consuming when you have a screaming child who wants his uniqua fix. All the Nickelodeon/Noggin DVDs are like this and it's a bit of overkill. Surely there is enough marketing of these products that they could let slide the option to skip straight to the stories.
Eggcellent Adventure June 8, 2008 My 4 year old and 3 year old absolutely love this adventure. They can't take their eyes off of it whenever it is on. The story line and music are great. We also have the cd with all of the songs on it, which my husband and I are forced to listen to over and over again in the car. I would HIGHLY recommend it!!
Love the Backyardigans! June 5, 2008 In my house we are convinced that the Backyardigans can do no wrong with whatever episode they come out with!
A Knightly & Eggy Tale May 3, 2008 In comparison to some of the other Backyardigans specials this one isn't the best of story lines. It has it's moments of cuteness, with the characters coming up with various names for a getaway unhatched dragon. King Pablo asked his knights to watch him, while away, on an important mission. In the character's plight the dragon lead them on an adventurous trail. The knights are met by a silly Goblin,Austin. Goblin has a tendency to take other's items, that do not belong to him. Tasha, a fairy adds more giggles. She too thinks of a name, for the dragon within his cracking egg. Goblin and the fairy accompany the knights to the castle. After arriving, the dragon hatches. When the knights, goblin, and fairy ask what the dragon's name should be, King Pablo replies,"Dragon," a gasp they give, as the knights, fairy, and goblin have only been thinking of egg related names!
