Product Description Muppet Show 3 PACK DVD episodes DVD (1) Special guest George Burns sings old vaudeville numbers and dusts off vintage one-liners, all while Rowlf the dog (voice by Jim Henson) accompanies on piano. The legendary comedian also dresses down sleazy gossip columnist Fleet Scribbler after the latter presses Burns for details about Miss Piggy's private life. Dom DeLuise hosts an energetic show full of pratfalls, particularly in a hysterical sketch set among the fuzzy, babbling inhabitants of Planet Koozebane. There's also high drama when DeLuise grows incensed over Piggy's legion of admirers; their growing numbers force her to dress in the star's changing room, resulting in an epic exchange of ego-driven insults. Finally, Bob Hope finds Kermit stealing some of his oldest jokes, but later trades quips with a horse during a "Don't Fence Me In" number. DVD (2) Diana Ross, Brooke Shields, and Rudolph Nureyev dance, sing, and banter in this trio of episodes from television's The Muppet Show (1976-1981). (3) DVD The emphasis is on music in this lively minicollection of episodes from The Muppet Show, but that doesn't mean the late Jim Henson's creative genius goes on holiday. Linda Ronstadt, at the height of her popularity in 1976, belts out her hit "Blue Bayou," though accompanied by Henson's delightful swamp critters. Gentle eco-warrior John Denver has no shortage of lovely nature songs, yet nothing tempers the rage of Miss Piggy, forced to share Kermit with Denver on a camping trip. In a classic Muppet showstopper, this DVD includes Harry Belafonte joined in a Guinea folk song by breathtaking African masks, which move and sing in a moment of true television magic. Brian Henson (Jim's son) introduces all three episodes with some shared memories; the most touching includes footage of Belafonte singing that same Guinea song, years later, at a joyful memorial for Jim. A Must have 3 great DVD with 9 shows on them.
