toddler friendly! August 1, 2008
Our 2 1/2/ year old grandaughter loves Little Bear videos. Grandma likes them for her, because they are calming, and the characters speak correctly and are easily understood. The stories are short, and usually a lesson is learned. Definately a good value.
Gentle and Engaging June 19, 2008
My three year old LOVES Little Bear and could watch this disc over and over (although she's not allowed to). I love the menu option to play one episode at a time, rather than just playing through them all. The stories are gentle and fun, maybe a little step up in narrative tension from Maisy Mouse, but no where near as intense as most kids fare. My kid does not watch a lot of TV, so when she does it has a big impact. This is the perfect show- nothing too scary or disturbing. Everyday stories she can relate to in an imaginative funny world. Plus Maurice Sendak's original conception in the illustrations.
Wonderful little cartoon video! May 30, 2008
This video is so great! It is made up of many short cartoon episodes about Little Bear and his friends. They each teach a different lesson to children, in such a sweet way. My 3 year old son adores this video. I had never heard of Little Bear (although now I have noticed his toothpaste commercial that is on television), but decided to get this because of the high recommendations for it on Amazon. I am so glad that I did. It is now one of my sons favorites, and I have to say that I love it too, because if he is going to be glued to something, I am glad that it is something as adorable and innocent as Little Bear!
Our whole family loves Little Bear May 27, 2008
We were introduced to Little Bear when we had cable. It was the only one show that my son showed a consistent interest in. And my husband and I fell in love with Little Bear as well. We love that it is quiet and soothing and the characters are all lovable. It opened up my son's imagination. We canceled our cable and the first evening that my son didn't get to watch Little Bear before bed was very hard for him. He really missed it. So, we had to buy some DVDs for him. They are so wonderful!

This DVD Little Bear "Rainy Day Tales" contains 12 episodes - including 4 from the Rainy Day Tales, and also episodes from Summertime Tales, and Parties and Picnics. For the money, it is indeed a value buy. The language is clean, and the characters, i.e. Little Bear and friends, are truly endearing. My 3 year-old loves it. i admit i do not much care for most of the kids' shows on television these days - the animation and colors are too bright and garish, and the dialogue leaves much to be desired. So, I have been going back to old staples like Little Bear, and classic Disney shows. This is a good production for young children, and a value buy. Highly recommended!
