50 Musicals November 11, 2008 Musicals Classics 50 Movie Pack Collection Most of the musicals are B/W and are of vintage (1935-1945) There are probably 4 or 5 that are really worth the price of the whole package. Truthfully, I have not watched them all, but still look forward to seeing some "long gone" performers doing their best routines.I probably would have paid the full price just for Royal Wedding on DVD because I already own it on VHS.Many of these "musicals" are not memorable because they were done before my time and I'm 72. Went to movies every Saturday and Sunday at the local theater. I've seen worse collections of cartoons! William A. Smith, Jr [..]
Musical Classics October 8, 2008 This is a good compilation of little seen and forgotten films from way back which should please nostalgia buffs. Quite a number of them, however, don't really qualify as being musicals, such as "Breakfast in Hollywood," which contains only a couple of songs sung on a real life radio show back in the 40s the movie was made to promote. Overall, I recommend it, as it contains early films from stars such as Bing Crosby and Lena Horne, along with an interesting array of old black musicals.

A collection of mostly obscure(to me) movies, most of which are good quality, and quite entertaining. All are musicals, and some feature artists who were just starting out back then. A good number of the movies are black and white, but oddly , this does not diminish the enjoyment. A lot of bang for the buck!
50 Musicals June 10, 2008 A most pleasant trip to the country of Nostalgia. Takes me back to my childhood and teenagehood - a much simpler time in my life.
