Great variety, great sound quality February 12, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I heard about this CD on NPR and ordered it as soon as it came out. What a bargain for such a gfreat collection. The styles it covers include just about everything one could hope for, except for the lack of any ring shouts. The sound quality is excellent, too. The liner notes, while good, could have been even more extensive, but then there are other venues for following up one's interests that may be piqued by this compilation. All in all, a great selection at a very affordable price.
