Habla blah blah is fun for the entire family August 16, 2007 My son and I sing along to the Habla blah blah songs everytime we get in the car. I can't believe how quickly caught on to the words!
A cool, modern Spanish CD for kids OR It's always fun to say ZAPATOS August 14, 2007 I got this CD for my son, (2 1/2 yrs old)... and I've gotten more for friends kids since...The songs are catchy, (and not irritating) for kids, and they're MODERN, so adults like it too!!! It's a giant leap from the old "Cielito Lindo". I really love that there's a authentic Latin flavor done in a kitchy cool way that appeals to cool goofy kids.
Habla blah blah even re-inforced my Spanish! The phrases, vocalizations and vocabulary are useful... My son and I talked about translation because of the CD and I think it helped him understand the big concept that people from different places say and think the same, but use different words (languages) because everyone needs to know... where's the bathroom?
The CD is simple and fun and doesn't seem like a "learning" tool, perfect for young kids. We listen to it in the car all the time, and my son loves to say "habla blah blah" and sings "hola, como estas" etc... I highly recommend this as a cool, fun intro to the Spanish language appropriate for toddlers!!!
Great beginners CD! August 10, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
In my opinion, music is one of the best ways to learn. This CD has done an excellent job introducing a new language to my son. He loves asking for food or drink in Spanish and never passes up the opportunity to use his newfound skills while we're at the zoo, park or just driving around town. Even my mother has picked up some words from listening to this CD. I would highly recommend purchasing this disc for anyone who sees the importance of introducing these sounds while our kids our young.
Not really a native speaker accent August 2, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am a native speaker and my baby is growing up in a english environment. I wouldn't buy this CD for her. The pronunciation and grammar is not the best. I guess this is better than nothing so I am giving it 2 stars

My kids immediately started singing along with the catchy tunes. They sing them as they play around the house. My daughter proudly proclaims she speaks spanish now. This cd is a great introduction to the sounds of the spanish language. My children are toddlers. This is an ideal time for them to learn these sounds as they perfect their pronunciations of other english language sounds and blends.
