 Childhood Memories! August 26, 2008
Even though the episodes aren't quite as exciting as I remember, I still enjoy watching them. The content is very suitable for young children and I really appreciate the references to God. Too many television shows today have gone so far to the left (in other words removed God from everything)that it is refreshing to once again watch this wholesome program!

I was so excited when I found these on DVD. I never missed it as a child. The series is produced by the Lutheran church but it doesn't teach any specific religion or denominations. It is all about teaching children to love one another and treat each other well. Not to lie, cheat, steal. How to be mindful of others feelings and treat others as you want to be treated.
I got them for my God children but I've loved seeing them again. The family moral values will never be outdated. A must see for all Christian Homes...I do think that even Jewish or non Christian familes will like them as they do not "preach".
Classic t.v. with good lessons January 1, 2008
I watched this stuff over 35 years ago and I liked it then and I still think it's pretty good stuff for kids. Simple and sends a moral message. I'm not into religion and I feel that since it is "God" that they talk about and not pushing religion, it's okay. Plus it has a talking dog that always says "I don't know Davey". Hysterical! Who dosen't love that dog?!!? I found this at the 99 cent store. Save yourself some money and check there first.

As a kid growing up I enjoyed Davey and Goliath and wanted my neices and nephews to see these wonderful stories that we sat down as a family and watched on sunday morning before church....

I grew up watching Davey and Goliath. I actually looked forward to sunday morings at 7am when they aired. Now in my late 40's it brought back many fond memories of watching these with my family. Sound quality is ok , picture quality is improved and I'm sure just watching these classic episodes again will be all that matters. I enjoyed them so much I'm watching them again for the second time in a month.
The good old days...
