Love it! October 15, 2008 I absolutely loved this tour! Bruce was kind enough to give me second row center seats! So of course watching this reminds me of that wonderful day! I guess if you missed out on this tour it might have a different feel for you. I only wish the would have taped the 2008 tour! All new stuff! what were they thinking!!! Anyways a must have for anyone that saw the 2002 tour!
Rehashed Kids July 18, 2003 20 out of 25 found this review helpful
I was disappointed at the lack of original material on this disc. It is some of their best sketches - word for word - performed onstage, including the Chicken Lady and Kathy and Cathy. There is a new Buddy Cole sketch which is lukewarm, a likewise mediocre Headcrusher skit and the Dr. Suess bible thing...whaaa?
I'm glad I only rented this and not purchased it, but it does give you a Kids fix if you really need it. Why can they can put Friends and that junk out on DVD season by season but no Kids? Come on! Kids on DVD! Kids on DVD!
Hopefully, this DVD will become obsolete June 22, 2003 13 out of 16 found this review helpful
This is the best us Kids fans are going to get until the original episodes make it to DVD (cross your fingers). However, it's a good DVD that captures a pretty good performance. Most of the classic characters make an appearance, including the Head Crusher, Simon Milligan & Hecubus, Gavin, and a good new monologue from Buddy Cole (dealing with, of course, dressing in drag in Afghanistan), among others.Essential for all KITH fans, but it will become obsolete when we get the episodes on DVD.
Say it ain't so Kids... June 10, 2003 12 out of 17 found this review helpful
These piddly DVDs of tours and such are all well and good, but they don't hold a 1/2 candle power candle to the original series. How long until the fans get Kids episodes on DVD? For this is what we truly want, and will pay a hefty ransom for them to be set free, emblazoned on Digital Versatile Discs!
More Kids In The Hall! May 29, 2003 1 out of 17 found this review helpful
Canada loves the Kids! Why oh where did this DVD go and take so long to come out?The Kids said it would be PPV soon after. We searched for it to show up for months after seeing this live and it was the funniest show EVER! Its so exciting to bring this DVD home to see how it looks to DVD buyers. Its going to beat their last DVD with a jumpy camera. At the show this DVD! Fans jumped up and dodwn; shouting apreciation and standing O's.Nope, there wasnt comments from start to finish. The part interviewing fans must have some of the funniest material and where was it.It's a live show; no opinions;what friction made funny stuff on Same Guys was filtered and ommited. This DVD is all on stage, looking strange on DVD and dont make sense like it did to see it all. Kids fans are delighted to see them again but face it. We're the harshest critics.I say this because its a cult and matches how the DVD is criticized. The loudest whiners about the DVD are the biggest fans who know all the dialogue and everything. Who bought the shirts; pins; books; and met the Kids In The Hall; and HAVENT given DVD reviews Yet, hows that for weird?? AND EVERYONE WENT HOME HAPPY FROM A TOUR OF DUTY SHOW! A live show makes us want more and the DVD didnt deliver enough of it.Edited and sterile is how it looks when it gets plunked in the player;such a shame the Kids mustve had to do that to get the dvd out.Maybe its edited to please PPV. The tour was the old sketches the way they should be;live uncensored and delivered smoothly raw.Its not the same as live, it never will be but fans will buy it to add to our collections and some day they will put out a 2 DVD set that is the most appealing of the last 2 DVD's. Heres' for a new commentary on one DVD and new characters and skits live on the 2nd DVD.
