Description
Steve Carell (Get Smart) returns in his Golden Globe-winning role of ?The World?s Greatest Boss,? Michael Scott, in Season Four of the hit comedy series The Office! This must-own four-disc set includes every irreverent episode from Season Four, including the five extended full TV-hour specials, plus hours of hilarious deleted scenes and bonus features! Rejoin Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) as they bring romance to the workplace, Dwight (Rainn Wilson) as he continues his quest to be Michael?s right-hand man, and newly deemed ?Wunderkind? Ryan (B.J. Novak), who?s working to drag Dunder Mifflin into the digital age. Developed for American TV by Primetime Emmy Award winner Greg Daniels (King of the Hill, The Simpsons), The Office is the intelligent and edgy Primetime Emmy Award-winning series that critics are hailing as ?the funniest show on TV? (Gavin Edwards, Rolling Stone). You?ll enjoy the inappropriate remarks, uncomfortable silences and petty behavior again and again!

5 out of 5 stars "Did I Stutter?"   August 19, 2008
I thought that it was a great season, apart from the six month gap. The price is steep for the shortened season, but Im sure that a mega- chain store will have it on sale when it comes out. So Id rather patiently wait to save a few bucks, rather NBC try to rip us all off.

5 out of 5 stars stop complaining.   August 16, 2008

I have been hearing a lot of whining about how this season lacks in episodes. But think about it, 5 out of the 15 are hour long episodes. This season is just a tad bit shorter in time than the 2nd season and the 2nd season costs the same. Also it really doesn't matter how long it is, because this was the best season ever! Definatly buy this, you will not be disapointed in the slightest. But wait, there's more! Before you pre order, or buy this, I recomend getting the exclusive gift set. I know Best Buy has one, and Target will to. Last year, It was totaly worth the 10 extra bucks. Just do me a favor and buy this. Because I love seeing a normal person like who I used to be, turn into a crazed Dunderhead like I am now.

4 out of 5 stars put the office back in the office   August 15, 2008

Season 4 got weird for me. In part it was the network week after week giving a one hour slot to a series that has always thrived on the short and sweet 22 minute format. The hour long episodes all felt by turns bloated with unnecessary silliness (as opposed to the usual necessary kind) or just stretched too thin. Then of course the second half of the season felt like a mad dash to get somewhere after the writer's strike. But what has really been lost for me is the importance of the setting. The best episodes of "The Office" take place in the office. Pretty much all of season 2 happened right there. The setting is crucial, and yet seasons 3 and 4 wander farther and farther away. An episode like "Phyllis' Wedding" (season 3) is special, and it should feel special, like a refreshing fieldtrip, and a chance for Michael to make a fool of himself in front of new and greater numbers of people, but it gets lost in a series of changing settings. This show is not called "The Beet Farm" or "Times Square" or "The Condo"; part of what is great, even essential, about The Office is the slightly claustrophobic, fluorescent-lit familiarity of the office itself.

5 out of 5 stars Love it   August 10, 2008
Love this series - not all of the episodes are laugh out loud, but they are all enjoyable!!! If you want a chuckle/laugh, buy this one!!

5 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing   August 6, 2008
Season 4 was just as good as the previous three seasons, if not better. The move with Ryan to corporate works out perfectly, and I simply couldn't ask for a better television show. I look forward to watching Season 5 unfold for us the plot of Dwight & Angela, Jan's baby, Holly's entrance to the show, and Jim's and Pam's relationship. I also can't wait to see Ryan in prison. THANK GOD FOR THE OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
