Description These five classic, time-honored stories, carefully chosen from the Disney vault, are sure to delight and entertain your child for years to come. You'll laugh as Mickey plays both roles in "The Prince And The Pauper," and similarly enjoy the two Academy Award(R)-winning shorts "Three Little Pigs" and "The Tortoise And The Hare" (Best Short Subject, Cartoon, 1932-33 and 1934). With beautiful animation, unforgettable music, and ageless themes about liking yourself for who you are and the value of preparing for the future, this collection of Timeless Tales is a must-own for every family.

A Pauper November 29, 2008 This film uses the classics of the Three Little Pigs and the Tortoise and the Hare to sell a very disappointing version of the Prince and the Pauper with Mickey Mouse. It is really one film with 4 trailers. It mixes the era of Silly Symphonies with the Prince and the Pauper from 1990 which makes for a poor compilation. The P&P is half of this 58 minute disc. The earlier works show an economy of storytelling that P&P lacks.
A classic July 16, 2008 We love reading the story the Three Pigs. I had searched every where for it on DVD. I was pleased to find it on Amazon & a Disney movie @ that.
Disney's Timeless Tales, Vol 1 June 23, 2008 My granddaughter loves when I read her the Three Little Pigs - so when she saw the movie she really enjoyed it. The other movies were just a bonus. These are just good old classics. I reccommend it.
Classic favorites April 6, 2008 Growing up I can remember watching these Disney cartoons. Now that I have two kids of my own. It is great to share these classic Disney favorites with them.
Nice Collection of Mostly Oldies... November 4, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
First of all, if you have kept up with the Walt Disney Treasures, especially vol. 1 of Silly Symphonies, then you don't need this one. Or, if you can still find the Silly Symphonies set, I recommend that instead. That being said, this is a moderately priced sampler of some really solid Silly Symphony classics that need more exposure. The Prince and the Pauper is not one of Mickey's best, but is interesting. This is a nice collection, albeit a little random. It is very worth having The 3 Little Pigs as well. Honestly, I bought it because my at the time unborn son seemed to like the song "The World Owes Me a Living" from The Grasshopper and the Ants, moving around and kicking whenever he heard it.
