It's cute. April 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This DVD has two cute episodes of Care-Bears Adventures in Care-A-Lot. You cannot see the episodes this has on TV, like you normaly can. Both the episodes are longer than the normal 15 min. The two on this are 30 min, that makes the DVD an hour. The first episode is called, "Broken". It's about the Care-Bear's friend, Wingnut. He is a robot. When he is broken he needs Share Bears necklace. But Share Bear doesn't want to share her necklace so she asks the bad bear Grizzle for help. But Grizzle is up to no good! I say this episode was not very good but still good, just not my favorite. The second, (also last,) episode was about a girl named Emma. The Care Bears see she doesn't care very well, so they bring her to Care-A-Lot to boost her caring by getting her to find things the Care Bears lost. Then Grizzle takes Emma and some Care Bears to his lair for no good! I really enjoyed this episode and I think it is the best! I think this would be a good buy and I think it is cute because I've loved Care Bears for a long time.
Better if it was an Season One and told us how OPPSY came to be. February 11, 2008 0 out of 8 found this review helpful
As you know most popole that grew up with Care Bears have no iaed were OPPSY came form so I was hoping this wound do so; and that an SD-DVD DL 2 sided disk can hold up to 8.5 hours of SD video per side it's not fair that can't do 20 or more shows in the pack. HD-DVD or Blu-ray disks can hold more I known, but I keeping with SD-DVD utile an real winner in found.
"No More Silly Care Bears, I'll Rule Over Care-a-Lot, The Same Plan as Always..." February 10, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Those who have been following the new series "Care Bears: Adventures in Care-a-Lot" will delight in the release of "Grizzle-ly Adventures," the first ever episode DVD release for the series, featuring two double-length episodes that have never aired on television. These stories are bigger and more ambitious than the broadcast episodes, but definitely manage to satisfy.
One of the the episodes on this DVD is "Emma's Dilemma." This episode features the first time that a human character has been seen on the new series. Emma is a Latin American and the Care Bears decide to help her after their "Care Bear Transporter" detects that her "caring quotient" is dangerously low. Emma is upset because her brother and his friends won't play with her. The Care Bears have been having a problem with things going missing and are hoping they can boost her confidence by having her search for the missing things. They don't know, however, that they've actually landed her smack in the middle of one of the evil plans of Grizzle, a very bad bear who lives in a floating mechanized home above Care-a-Lot and is determined to destroy "those silly Care Bears" once and for all.
Speaking of Grizzle, he plays heavily into the story "Broken" as well. Share doesn't want to share a necklace to help a friend with something that's broken. She thinks maybe Grizzle can fix the problem instead. But do you think it's likely that Grizzle would ever be up to any good? Heh, didn't think so.
There are no special features, but I'll forgive it because of the quality of the stories. The DVD does include some promos for other releases, as well as an insert booklet showing the episode listing and promos for other 20th Century Fox titles, such as Strawberry Shortcake. Oh, and each episode features the full show theme song not heard on the broadcast episodes.
