Description In this the first volume of Ike's Rules, world champion bass fisherman Mike Iaconelli explains that it takes skill, not luck, to make it as a champion bass angler or a successful weekend fisherman. Ike teaches you how to find bass at any time of the year, in any body of water using the techniques it took him years to develop. In Volume 1, Mike takes you through the critical advance work that will dramatically improve your game. In less than an hour, you'll learn: The tools that will help you to understand any body of water, from the pond down the road to a massive lake you've never fished before. The Universal General Seasonal Outline -- the master template that explains bass behavior in any season, in any region. What it takes to prepare for a day on the lake, way beyond choosing a rod. How to maximize the potential of your depthfinder. How to use lures to unlock the secrets of bottom cover. Ike teaches you all this and more. And then he shows you how to put it all together to land monster bass. And luck has nothing to do with it.

Ike doesn't deliver April 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ike's video was very dissapointing to me. He only covers very basic informantion and not much of that for the price. There are many better and less expensive videos available. Shop around and save money and get more information!
Good For General Knoledge May 15, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great for Begginers. It does have the key general issues for Bass Fishing which was very helpful to undestand that it takes a lot more than buy a rod and go fishing. I have not gone fishing yet after viewing the video.
OK, Could be Better. December 31, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Ike is very enthusiastic, especially when he turns from the camera and speaks to a tree or bush. Ike likes lists. (Reminds me of ROTC class in college.) Ike says if I want to catch bass, I should read lots of fishing magazines. We learn to buy TOPO maps and draw circles on them. (Was this guy in ROTC?) But the map class was actually useful, because we learn how to track the migration of bass during the seasons. Don't know that it was $20 useful, but I have to say I hadn't thought of that before. Ike tells you how to pack the boat. (More lists, this guy must have been in ROTC). Anyway, Ike's DVD does have information - unlike that Crappie DVD by Visual Films.
Could be better November 14, 2006 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I found this dvd very slow moving with very basic info... if you already bass fish then you know most of this information any way... unless you have never fished your wasting your time.
Great information March 27, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This video has some of the best information for finding and locating bass on new lakes. He goes into detail on how to approach a new body of water
