I am 13 and still love digimon and this movie. I wish there was more Matt. My only problem is that there is no Ken from the 2nd season. He would have made it more interesting. Buy this DVD!

5 out of 5 stars Digimon Rocks!   March 16, 2006

I've been a major fan of Digimon since the beginning. I rarely missed an episode when it was on TV. It's the best!

While I watched the series, I heard a lot of people saying that it was a "Pokemon rip-off". Well, I'll inform you that Digimon is nothing like Pokemon! Pokemon has no character development whatsoever. The storyline is extremely repetitive. I'm sorry if I am insulting Pokemon fans, but this is my opinion of it.

Anyway, back to Digimon.

Digimon has good character development (not only do the kids have personal problems, but they are actually are attached to their personal Digimon). It has a relatively smooth storyline, with everything leading to something new. And the adventures are all different.

Sure, there are some moments where I'm embarrassed by a dorky line, but this show was meant for seven years old and under, and I'm 13. And there are other parts that make me really sad (like at the end of the first season, when the kids are saying good-bye).

I would definitely say that the first season is the best. The second season was good (I loved seeing the original kids at an older age), but the fact that the new Digimon didn't seem as powerful as the original kinda made me lose interest. This movie is also a good addition to the first and second seasons. Watch it! The third season completely lost me, though I found some of the characters intriguing. I probably would have watched it, hoping to understand it more, but that was when the popularity went down and Fox took it off their program. I haven't seen any of the fourth season, and have no desire to. Apparently, in seasons 3 and 4, the kids started digivolving with their digimon, and then doing it completely on their own. That, to me, is really weird.

I would strongly encourage those who are interested in this to watch at least the first season and to go for the second if you want to see a follow-up. They are the best.

First of all, if you really want to see some butt being kicked. I RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE!!!! I mean Magnamon is cool and so is Davis, and so are the other guys. If you Don't watch this, the Godfather will see you personally for the treatment which will be yours. WATCH THIS MOVIE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This movie is so good it's got a great message in the end of unity and friendship. It's exciting and touching I love this movie. It isn't just some stupid kiddy film like the Pokemon movies it's great for all ages shame the TV series wasn't as good as the movie. It's classic japanese animation with great characters and lush colors.
