Avatar January 17, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I think that Avatar is one of the best shows that nick has ever made. At first I thought that it was a bunch of junk, but now I love it.I watch it all the time with my friends. Once you start watching it, you're hooked!
Great Show! January 14, 2007 I am 12 years old and my 5 year old brother and I am OBSESSED with this show! The animation is very, very great! The story is very good, each and every one of the sequels aren't just "put together," into any story that doesn't relate to the last. This so is highly recommended for anyone that loves great TV cartoons.
Avatar Anime confusion November 1, 2006 The first time seeing an Avatar Episode was odd, the First question I asked is "Why didn't I see or hear about this show until now?" well there was a reason. Most my sources for anime only keep up with Japanese(mostly) or South Korean (not often, but some times). But once I noticed the channel it was on Nickelodeon, which never shows Japanese anime just makes their own. I was shocked.
The anime is very well built, characters and story progress at a fair rate. The characters rub off on you and you fall in love with them. the story is easy to fallow and understand, plus the plot barely changes but you want to see what happens next, even if you know what will happen next (something all anime has).
If your an Anime fan This is one of the fewest well built "American" animes that has been made in ages. If not it's the first one that will change the "Cartoon" world forever, or the way people look at cartoons.
This is a must have for any anime fan it is very cheap compared to other anime's (to buy) but has the same quality as any big name anime.
Let it be known: This is NOT just a kid's show!! October 17, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Okay, I started watching Avatar when it first started airing, but I started to get forgetful and stopped watching it. Well, I just rented this, and I have to admit, I am becoming a fan. This show is a ton of fun to watch! Nowadays, the only other Nick show you can say that about is Spongebob, which I have watched since it first aired in '99, and it's starting to lose it's charm. Literally all of Nick's new show ideas have sucked, but this is a real find.
Basically, if you're 9-12, you'll love it.
If you're 13-25, you'll still enjoy it.
For once in a long time, Nick has started something that the whole family can enjoy. Let's just hope they don't screw it up.
Surprisingly Good! September 9, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Avatar was one of those shows I really expected to be mediokre, but turned out to be much better than I expected! The Nick commercials don't really do the show justice.
The first episode sets up the characters and begins to set up the plot, and does a really good job of doing so.
The second episode finishes setting up the plot. It's basically a continuation of the first episode, and is also really good.
The third episodes is one of my favorites in the series, as it is character driven. I really like character driven episodes, and although it's certainly no "Out of Gas" from Firefly, it excels. It also further develops the storyline.
The fourth episode is not quite as good at the first three, but still really good. It doesn't devlop the plot much, but develops one of the characters. The only problem with it is that it's the first episode in which the series becomes slightly repetitive, but not too much so.
