Stoned Love - long version September 7, 2003 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
To the person from San Francisco looking for the long version of Stoned Love: It can be found on the Motown 1970s (The Best of Volume 2) Millenium Collection. I just found it recently myself.
Un-Edited Stoned Love? July 20, 2000 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
I am actually looking for the long-version of the song "Stoned Love" that is sometimes played on the radio. Does anyone have this version?
repackaged Supremes still supreme July 7, 2000 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
this cd contains songs from one of the best pop, r&b and Broadway-themed albums by the Supremes. Despite it basically flopping, i still like 5:30 Plane, I Keep It Hid, Once In The Morning and Cheap Lovin'.
Still Supreme after All these Years September 16, 1999 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This collection of musical beauties proves once again that Diana Ross was not the key to the Supremes' success. These ladies never received the publicity and recognition that they earned. Mr. Gordy had to work very hard to make sure that The "New" Supremes did not outshine Ms. Ross. But you just can't keep a good group down! Although most of the albums recorded by these ladies made it to CD, there are still a few that need to be released ("Arranged by Jimmy Webb", "The Supremes", "Mary, Scherrie and Susaye", "High Energy" and two of the three featuring the Four Tops, "Dynamite" and "Return of the Magnificent 7"). And a never-before-released collection must be in the vaults ready to be released. Let's hope.
The Supremes are Supreme without Diana August 1, 1999 4 out of 10 found this review helpful
Simply Supreme...it dont get no better than this right here. Jean Terrell led the Supremes to greater heights than I think anyone imagines. "Paradise" is a powerful song..and Jean gives her all on this one. Who needs a selfish, caniving woman like Diana Ross to be successful? Not Jean Terrell and the Supremes.
