I will make this quick and simple. I came home one day to see that mail carrier not done his/her job properly and upon finding me not at home for the delivery simply left my package in the hallway of my apartment, under my door. As I entered my lobby I found my package opened and empty. Canada Post ignored my inquiry but Amazon.com replied right away and sent me another one free of charge. Zip ahead a couple of weeks and the DVD set arrived. Once again left by the postal carrier outside my apartment door, but this time I came across it first instead of a thief. Doesn't say much for the delivery people at Canada post (after all the post office is just two blocks from my apartment, it's not a hardship for them to leave it there like they are supposed to for me to pick up). It does say a lot about amazon.com and how great they treat their customers.
Now to the DVD set itself. It's great. There is plenty of rare stuff on these discs, and it was so interesting that I managed to sit through the whole thing in one go. I highly recommend this DVD set. Just not for the thief who stole the first one delivered to my door!
Holy ***, this rocks my world! February 21, 2008
I got the first disc from Netflix over a week ago and I've been playing it over and over, particularly the absolutely awesome set at the Rainbow in London. It finally sunk in that I should go ahead and just buy it, which I'm going to do when I'm done with this review, otherwise I'll never see another movie from Netflix since I don't want to send this back. I've never seen recorded concert footage that affected me this strongly. This is as good as it gets. (And I think it converted my son into a Ramones fan.) Gods, I wish I'd seen them live.

This the most incredible DVD on the Ramones in along time. It was truly fabulous to see the concerts and footage all over again. It was just like being there live in their early years. This is a must for all Ramones fans.
Great Historical document February 2, 2008
This is an incredible historical document. Please stop whining about the quality of some clips on this DVD. You are witnessing what very few people outside of NYC experienced in the mid 70's being able to watch some of the earliest footage of the Ramones. Some of the other clips are hilarious, e.g., lip synching Rock & Roll High School on the Sha Na Na show; what looks like a woman standing to the side of the stage at one of the college shows trying to (get this) do sign language interpreting of the lyrics. If you are interested in the history of R&R this DVD is priceless.
Get This DVD for History Sake January 6, 2008

The 1977 New Years Eve Rainbow Concert footage on this DVD makes this a relevant historical piece. Rock and roll is rarely depicted in such a live, energetic and aggressive manner. Thank goodness the audio and video from that concert are in such great condition. It's worth owning this DVD just for the Rainbow Concert concert, but watch everything else too. It's lots of fun.
